Previous Daily Devotional About the reality of Christ's presence Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God (NIV) Although you may not know it, you walk with God every moment. When you think you are alone, you are not, for He is with you. When you think no one cares about you, He is with you and caring about you. When you think God is far off, He is close by. When it seems God has died inside of you, He is yet living within you. When you cannot reach Him because of your pain and suffering, He is within you still. When you think there is no hope, the love of God is burning and alive within you and giving you unlimited tomorrows. When you think everything has come to an end for you, the truth is that Christ's eternal glory is just ahead of you. When you are dismayed and disappointed in the actions of others, God's power and force of unfailing love can touch their lives. When you are dismayed at the strife and destruction in the world, the gentle touch of Christ soothes your pain and He brings joy where joy was impossible. We all live in a world full of illusions. We all live as if we were in a television show that comes to an end and there is no more. However, the truth is that the illusions of this life do end, but when the illusions end, a Christ's very real reality of Heaven begins. |
