(NIV) The source of all blessings is not what we manufacture, buy, beg, borrow, or take. The source of all blessings is from Heaven. For blessings worth having are sent to us from Heaven. We can possess or own our things. We can love or treasure our stuff. However, all our things and all our stuff remains forever outside of us. The treasures of Heaven can be and are received and treasured within us. We can receive in our heart and soul what is from heaven. We can possess, for a short time, a computer that is outside of ourselves, but we can receive within our hearts and lives what is from heaven. We can possess a new home, a new car, and incredible wealth but all these are outside of ourselves. We can receive and truly treasure what Heaven sends to us in the form of heavenly blessings. We cannot carry a computer, a new home, a new car, and incredible wealth around in our heart. Within us, within our heart, we can carry the blessings of God, for the kingdom of God is within us. |
