Previous Daily Devotional About remembering Christ loves you John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV) In the middle of the chaos your life sometimes becomes
When we say, "forget Christ loves you," what we mean is not that you forget the intellectual idea Christ loves you, but that you may forget to access the reality of His love. The power of darkness wants you to forget Christ loves you. The major aim or purpose of Satan pouring out suffering upon Job was to get Job to forget God loved him and to renounce any faith in God. In the middle of your chaos, stop for a moment and pray a little. When you are praying in the middle of your chaos remember to remember your act of humble prayer is an affirmation that Christ loves you enough to listen to you. In the middle of the piling on of your troubles and heartaches, remember to consider how much Christ suffered for you because He loves you. In the middle of fighting against temptations and conflicts within you, remember to stop for just an instant and recall how Christ also battled against temptation because He loves you. When Christ battled temptation because He loves you He knew someday you would face the same struggle. He persevered so you could persevere. In the middle of worrying about things to come, remember Christ come back from the tomb to give you absolute assurance and tangible proof there is a new life, a new time, and a new day waiting for you. In the middle of your suffering, your trials, and you afflictions stop for just a moment and remember no matter how bad things are now, someday you will be free of these moments of darkness. Someday you will hold on to Christ's hand that was nailed to the Cross because He loves you and these present troubles will be forgotten in His glory and grace. |
