About remembering Christ needs you on the earth…

1 Peter 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (NIV)

It is easy to think no one needs you. It is easy to think you could die and no one would miss you. It is easy to think you have no influence in a world gone astray. It is easy to think the world can get along without you. However, if you think these things you do not see all of reality. For in our real world there are invisible connections between you and others. In our real world there are invisible connections between you and Christ. Because there are invisible connections between you and others and between you and Christ, Christ needs you on the earth. Christ needs you to connect to others so they will see Him and know Him as a real live person. Christ needs you to live out His teachings so others will believe in Him. Christ needs you to pray for others each day so He may do work in them even if you do not see the work being done. For your little seed of faith may not seem like much to you, but to Christ, your little seed of faith is not little, not small, and not insignificant. From your little seed of faith, Christ can move mountains. Christ needs your little seed of faith activated and alive because you are the one others see first. As others get to know you they will get to know Him. To Christ, there is no greater witness than the witness of His humble and meek children who treasure only Christ be glorified in their humility and meekness.
