Previous Daily Devotional About remembering Christ wants your very best 1 Peter 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (NIV) With all the ups, down, twists, turns, and adversities of life, you may think you do not have it in you to give Christ your very best. Oh, you may want to give Him your best, but it is incredibly difficult to battle against all the opposing forces in life that want to pound you down into the ground. We know, without playing upon the words, we are all going to be pounded down into the ground in the form of going into the grave. And what may seem a victory for Satan and the darkness when we die, must be proclaimed as a victory for Christ by your giving Christ your very best during your battle between good and evil or God and Satan. How you carry your life and how you carry yourself in your fight against Satan is of critical importance to Christ. You may think you do not have the power or strength to fight on. You may think no one cares or no one knows about your battle. However, someone does care about whether you win or lose. Someone does know about your battle. Someone does want you to win. Someone does make power available to you when you think you have no power. Someone does give you strength when you think you have run out of strength. Unseen, unheard, untouched by our senses, often forgotten by us when life turns against us, someone does care. God cares. Christ cares. The Holy Spirit cares. Because He cares, we must remember He wants our very best, and we must deliver. |
