About
renewing your faith…
1
Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in
Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and
make you strong, firm and steadfast. (NIV)
"I
have lost God. I have lost Jesus. It is as if they are no more."
Your
faith can ebb and flow. For some people, keeping their faith alive is seldom an
issue. For other people, keeping their faith alive is a constant battle. To
renew your faith, try not to question or doubt. To renew your faith, try to
simply accept God is present and working in your life. Many times the pain,
suffering, and adversity of life can smother ones faith to the point where faith
seems to be gone. Pain, suffering, and adversity can make us doubt and ask
questions when we should live in faith without any doubt.
In
the hours of our darkness, we can forget Christ is always with us to help us.
Consequently, we lose faith. In our times of doubt and our times of losing
faith, Christ wants us to believe and trust in Him more than ever. In addition,
the trials of our life, the suffering, pain, and darkness, all come to us, not
from God, but from the dark powers of satanic evil. In our darkest hours of
disbelief and doubt, Christ comes to be with us to encourage us and hold us up.
As we face our many trials, our job is to refuse to lose. We must be willing to
hold steady and never give up or give in. When we refuse to lose in the face of
darkness, Christ wins and when He wins, we win.
