Previous Daily Devotional About reverence and adoring love Psalm 33:8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. 9 For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. 10 The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. 11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. (NIV) All the words ever written are not enough to express our adoration of Christ. All the words ever spoken could never express our reverence and awe when we kneel before the Cross. Our love for Him knows no bounds when we are willing to let our life be rescued from the darkest part of the outer darkness. You live in adoration and reverence for Christ because in adoration you have emptied all you have within you. When you are empty, it is Christ, who comes to fill you with His power. Adoration and reverence for Christ spring forth, because when you have fallen short of the mark, it is Christ, who comes to assure you that you are still loved. When you are deep in loneliness, it is Christ, who comes to be with you and consoles you with His presence. When your heart breaks, it is Christ, who comes to you and mends your heart. When the scars of yesterday still linger upon your life, it is Christ, who comes and makes them disappear. When you cannot pray, it is Christ, who comes and gives you His assurance that He is always present and always listening to your heart for all these things and more we adore Him |
