Previous Daily Devotional About sacrifice 1 Corinthians 5:7 For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. (NIV) Every minute of your life can be a minute shared with God. Amid the rush and pressure of your life, you can let Him into each of those minutes. You can, if you will it, let Christ be the overriding influence of every minute. Every minute, Christ can touch your heart and life. It is because you can have such contact with Christ and because He sacrificed so much for you, that you can in turn, sacrifice for Him. Our world has gone astray. Christ needs you to be a spiritual leader in your family, church, group, and nation. Spiritual leaders for Christ will always put Christ first while putting themselves aside. Christ has given you, as well as every other person, a mission, a goal, and an objective in life. You might have doubts about His mission for your life. You might have doubts about whether you can accomplish His mission. However, when you are willing to sacrifice and pay any price for Him, then you do indeed accomplish His mission for your life. When you are overcome with doubt, uncertainty, and discouragement, then go to the Cross. When you have a sense of loss, or a sense of failure about Christ's mission for you, go to the Cross. For when you accept Jesus hanging upon the Cross, making such a sacrifice for you, then no sacrifice you make for Him will ever be great enough. When you take Jesus sacrifice upon the Cross into your heart, then going the extra mile, giving an extra push, and enduring extra suffering is of no consequence. When you are with Christ, truly with Him in His suffering and carrying His Cross for Him, then suffering is not a deterrent to His mission for your life. When you sacrifice for Christ, then suffering for Him becomes His way for you to bring His Light and Love into the hearts of all the people of the world. |
