scoring small victories…
Luke 4:27
And there were many in
Israel
with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was
cleansed--only Naaman the Syrian." 28 All the people in the synagogue were
furious when they heard this. 29 They got up, drove him [Jesus] out of the town,
and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to
throw him down the cliff. 30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on

Just
like the dark forces in your life right now, two thousand years ago there were
forces in the world trying to stop the love and light of Christ. The satanic
powers and forces of this world have in the past and will in the future try to
destroy what is good and godly within you. To score a life-sized victory for
Christ, to score a victory as large as eternity for Christ, win your spiritual
battles one skirmish at a time. Defeat sin by being righteous in the moment.
Defeat sin by resisting temptation one moment at a time. When you divide up your
day into small minutes then you conquer the hour. When you conquer the hour you
conquer the day. Although it may appear, at times, the satanic forces are so
powerful you will surely be defeated, by keeping your faith and keeping your
commitment to Christ, you will be able to walk right through any darkness.
Remember you are not alone in your skirmishes. You are not alone because Christ
is with you, giving you His power and might. Of all the powers working in your
life, Christ's power is the strongest power. Christ's power is the power wanting
you to win. Christ's power is the power helping you to victory.
