About seeing good…

Matthew 7:8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. (NIV)

Good can flow in every circumstance. Even the darkest, most terrible circumstances can hold the flowing of good. It is important to always try to see or seek the good in the darkness. For in the good, we can see the hand of God reaching down to touch our heart and soul. In the good, you can see God reaching down to touch you when it seems evil is winning and good has been defeated. In a world where war, crime, violence, and unrighteousness seem to rule, it is important to see the flow of good. In the chaos of the darkness we are to align ourselves with the flow of good or the movement of God in all things. We are to align ourselves with the moving will of God's power because when the evil times fall we can be instruments of God's love, grace, compassion, and mercy. We must not be discouraged when we cannot find or see the good, for evil wants us blind and we must not be ignorant about what evil wants. When we find or see the good, we see the Light of Christ's love in action. When we find or see the good, we strengthen ourselves for the times just ahead when good may not be so easily observed. When we pray, we must place our heart and life in the hands of Christ and ask that He reveal His moving power by showing us His good love in every circumstance.
