Previous Daily Devotional About seeing Jesus (part 1 of 4) Revelation 1:7 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. (NIV) Seeing Jesus is not easy. Some day, maybe tomorrow, you will be able to look up in the sky and see Him arriving upon the clouds as He comes back to us again. Millions of Christians for two thousand years have hoped for His earthly return. However, if He does not choose to return tomorrow we can still see Him with our spirit. It is our spirit, not our eyes, that connects us to Him in the here and now. Even if we physically saw Him in the sky, if our spirit was not surrendered to His will, we would not be in a state of communion and oneness with Him. Perhaps Jesus has not come back in all these years because He wanted to give us a chance to upgrade our spirit enough to see Him in His supernatural dimension right here right now. Perhaps He has given the human race billions of chances to see Him by surrendering our all at the foot of His Cross. For He does not care so much about whether we can see Him with our eyes. Christ cares only that we love Him and that our heart sees Him loving us in return. |
