Previous Daily Devotional About seeing Jesus (Part 4 of 4)… 1 John 2:28 And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. (NIV) When Jesus comes back, He will ask you if
you have forgiven those who have wronged you. He will ask you if you have loved
those who are unlovable. He will ask you if you gave to the poor. He will ask
you if you gave more than your all in His service. He will ask you if you truly
tried to be His child. He will ask you if you love Him. Whether we see Jesus in
the clouds is not as important as how we answer these questions. Christ asks
these questions of each of us this hour. How you live your life today will
determine your answers today and tomorrow. Do you not need to always be about
the Master's business each hour? Do you not need to be concerned with doing His
will rather than looking up into the clouds? If you spend all our time looking
up into the clouds and miss the hurting child who needs a hug, you have failed
Him miserably. If you spend all your time looking up into the clouds and do not
pray for the lost, the hurting, and the broken souls of your life, you will not
want Him to see you when He returns. |
