Monday's Daily Devotional About seeing love… 1 Peter 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy…(NIV) We seldom see love. Real love, the kind of love that totally changes us and changes our world gets buried in the self-interest and selfishness of our age. Yet, we can see love if we put our heart in God. Seeing love reminds us love is real. Seeing love reminds us God is real. Seeing love affirms we have a place in God's plan for the universe. We can see the love of God working on every heart, even the heart running away and rebelling. We can see the love of God working on the heart full of sadness because love is absent. We can see love in the eyes of little children who live in peace, comfort, and joy because others love them. We can see love between couples with wrinkled hands and gray hair who have shared decades together. We can see love in the eyes of the aged who are alone but whose eyes light up when they talk of days gone by. We can see love in the countless hours of worry and dedication given to others. We can see love when we see Christ with the little ones. We can see love when we see Christ dying on the cross for each of us. To see love we need to open our eyes and open our heart to the power and touch of God…touching our heart and soul…as He also touches the heart and soul of others.
