Previous Daily Devotional About
seeing past your mistakes… Matthew
13:16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they
hear. (NIV) We all make mistakes. Sometimes we make big mistakes. Sometimes we make small mistakes. Some of our mistakes are caused by our sin. Some of our mistakes are caused just by our being human. How we respond to our mistakes can separate those of us who truly want to never repeat the mistake and those of us who could care less. Once a mistake is made, we can try and repair the mistake but the mistake still remains a mistake. Once a mistake is made we must start doing our repair work and look ahead. We must not overlook our mistakes but we must see past the mistake so we can develop a strategy to not repeat the mistake. When we repeat a mistake it generally means we were either blind to the cause of the mistake or we did not try to fix the cause of the mistake. However, we need not repeat our mistakes if we will walk with open eyes and honest hearts into our every tomorrow.
