Previous Daily Devotional About Seeking God In Times Of Darkness Joel 2:12 ‘Yet even now," says the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments." (RSV) You would think that finding God would be easy. You may have been told that to find God, "All you have to do is ____." The reality for you is that your faith journey may have rocks and boulders in the road. You may have times in your spiritual life when all of your spiritual resources are running on "Empty." You may have times when the Lord seems light years away. But do not despair. The Lord is always near you. He is beside you. He is all around you and within you. In the times when He seems far away, take your tears and mourning to Him. Lay prostrate on the ground and pour out your whole heart to Him, and you will find Him. With God, the times we feel powerless are the times He can most effectively give us the Power. |
