Previous Daily Devotional About seeking within… Luke 17:20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21 nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." (NIV) Our heart, mind, and soul are born in a prison. We live in this prison until we find God. God, in the form of Christ, sets us free from our prison. We find God in His most pure and dynamic form within ourselves. God is love. Love is an emotion. So pure is God, God possesses the characteristic of intelligence, a super intelligence beyond our ability to know. To walk with God in freedom, we must be willing to walk with Him. To have God be our friend in freedom, we must be willing to be His friend. God resides within each person and speaks to each person in a still small voice. His voice is the voice of reason. His voice calls us to forgive so we will not have to carry the burden of wanting revenge. His voice is the voice of love. His voice calls us to love others so we will not remain locked in our prison of loneliness. His voice calls us to open the prison gates of our heart, mind, and soul so we can find His freedom.
