Previous Daily Devotional About soaking up the invisible peace of God… John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (NIV) You can either let things happen in your life or you can make things happen in your life. You can either let the peace of God find you or you can actively seek out and find His peace. Too often we resort to letting life happen and then when what happens to us is not good, we have no peace. Peace comes to those who build a daily life ready to soak up the peace of God. We can soak up the peace of God by opening our heart and preparing our mind in faith and comfort. We can soak up the peace of God by accepting God loves us so much He sent His only Son to die for us on the cross. The causes of our discontent or lack of peace are many. Quite often we do not truly believe in the deepest part of our soul God really does love us. The discontent of not believing deeply enough takes away all our peace of mind and peace of heart. You cannot visibly see the peace of God but that does not mean God will not fill you with His peace. To be able to fully be immersed in God's peace, you do not need physical eyes. To be fully immersed in God's peace, you do need spiritual eyes along with an open heart and an open mind. Using your open heart and open mind you can soak up and absorb His peace as you seek to walk His path every hour.
