(NIV We are all born broken. We are all born with a lack of wholeness because we are born into sin in our earthly life. We have no power within ourselves to do away with our sin. We have no power within our heart to change our heart. Much as we might want to change ourselves from brokenness to wholeness, we cannot make this change on our own. However, there is a way we can go from brokenness to wholeness. We go from brokenness to wholeness when we repent or turn away from our sinful brokenness. When we repent or turn away, we are made whole by His touch of love. When we repent or turn away from our sin we are changed and made whole. When we are made whole, our sinful mind is changed to righteousness, our sinful thoughts are changed to righteous thoughts, and our brokenness is changed to wholeness.
