Previous Daily Devotional About the source of peace… 1 Corinthians 1:3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV) Sometimes in our life we have wars and turmoil not of our own making. We can be plunged into conflicts others start and over which we have little control. When we come to a point in our life when we are involved in turmoil, conflict, and chaos, we want inner peace. To find inner peace we must seek out the source of peace. The source of peace is God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Peace in the turmoil and chaos of life is possible when we have Christ within us. When we live with the blessed assurance of Christ that all things will work out just as He wants them to work out, we have peace. When things seem utterly hopeless and we are eaten alive by the conflict around us and within us, we hear the gentle voice of Christ telling us He loves us and we need not have any fear or worry. His voice, His touch, and His reassurance are all we need when we cannot make sense out of anything anymore. With Christ, we have a confidence within us. With Christ, we do not worry about what the next hour will bring because with Christ, we always, always, always have Christ and His heavenly eternity waiting for us just over the horizon. |
