Previous Christmas Devotional About starting a care-giving
ministry… Luke 11:13 If you then, though you are
evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your
Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" (NIV) Christmas is the season of caring. However, people need the care of God in every season. We need God to love us and care for us at Christmas time and in all the other days of the year. At some point, all of us need to hear others say “I care about you.” This Christmas, it is so important you start a caring ministry within your life. You do not need to be a minister. You do not need any resources. You do not need money, fame, or fortune. You do not even need help. People around you need the greatest gift you could ever give them and that gift is your care and compassion being poured over them. Every day of the year, show others you care about them. Do little things for others and do so anonymously. What joy and fun you can bring to another person’s life by doing things in anonymous ways! In your care giving ministry, do not seek to be noticed. In your caring giving ministry, do not seek attention. Every person you meet, every person you know, and every stranger on the street needs you to care about them. What a great Christmas gift you can give by caring!
