Previous Daily Devotional About
starting a new relationship with God… Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near to God
with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to
cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure
water. (NIV) Many of us can take God for granted. Of course, we do not mean to take God for granted. We can often get used to everything being the way it has always been and then our relationship with God does not grow and mature as God wants. There are times when we may need to see God in a new way in order to handle the many trials and tribulations in our life. We may need to see more of God or see God in a new way because what we know about God is limited. What we know about God is limited because He is infinite and we cannot grasp the dimensions of God's infinity. Perhaps you have the same relationship with God you have always had. Perhaps you never want to change your relationship with God or perhaps you need to see God in a more dramatic way, in a more dynamic way, or in a more active way in your life. We can tend to think of God as passively letting things roll on without His intervening or helping us like we need to be helped. What we must remember is God has always been and will always be the creator. According to His good will, God can continually create new ways for you to know Him. In doing His continual creative work, God wants you to get better at being His child. Getting better at being His child can mean you build a new relationship with Him especially when you begin to take things for granted.
