About the strength to do right…
Psalms 14:2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of mento see if there are
any who understand, any who seek God. 3 All have turned aside, they have together become
corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. (NIV)
You must never become discouraged with the way the world is going. Yes, the world
spins madly toward total corruption, but all is not lost. There is for you a fabric of
cloth with tiny golden strands that weaves its way around your heart and on around the
world. This little golden strand comprises the remnant made of the golden love of Christ.
Christ sustains His remnant in the world when you hold fast to His love in your heart. In
homes, shops, factories, and offices all across the world, persons like you say little
prayers and keep the hope of Christ alive. It is normal for all of us to wonder what will
happen next as we see so many parts of our world and life unravel, yet the golden strands
that bind us to Christ's heart shall never be broken. As part of His remnant, we stand
apart by our willingness to always do the right thing, always showing love, always giving,
always willing to forgive. What we must understand is that His fabric of golden strands
also acts as a spice for the lives of those around us. The golden strands of His remnant,
of which we are all a part, also brings out the light of Christ's love. For even when we
believe we are the only one of the Lord's sheep still standing up for His righteousness,
His light shines out of our life and brings His light into the darkness of the lives of
others around us.
