About struggling to have our God within…

Deuteronomy 4:7 What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the LORD our God is near us whenever we pray to him? (NIV)

Living with God alive in your heart is sometimes an enormous struggle. We do not want to tell others our faith is weak or our faith needs work. Having to struggle to keep God alive, moving, and dynamic within you is not something many people would wish to admit. The truth is we all struggle to have God alive within us because we run our spiritual lives on faith. To live by faith and not by sight is difficult not only because we cannot see God with our eyes, but also because we have a great adversary who attacks us in our heart. Living a full spiritual life demands we give up on one hand and not give up on the other. On one hand, we are to give up the grip of darkness within us, and on the other hand we are not to give up our feeling and knowing God is real within us. On one hand, we are to give up our sin because Christ died for us, and on the other hand we are not to give up our hold upon our own self-imposed demand to live a clean, moral, and righteous life. However, no matter how difficult the task might seem to be to have Christ and His love within us, we can achieve. We can achieve the task of realizing God's love because God will always answer our need to be Him near. God will always answer our prayer to be with us. God will always be near to us even if we are not willing to be near Him.
