About the success of doing what is right…

Acts 3:26 When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways." (NIV)

Most people do not want to hear about doing right and not doing wrong. However, to be successful in life we need to always do the right thing. Unfortunately, in our distorted way of human thinking, too many people want to be successful by doing the wrong thing. It is better to be successful doing the right thing than successful doing the wrong thing. We are each called to live a holy and devout life. There are advantages to being holy and devout. We have no excuses why we should not live a righteous life. We have no excuses why we cannot do the right thing all the time. We can be sick, hurt, bruised, beaten down, and violated, but we can still be righteous and holy. Christ was sent to us by God. In doing so, God wants us to live a wholesome, moral, pure, holy, and devout life. Satan is in the world to get us to do just the opposite. With God there is always, even into eternity, a good result if we walk His path. With Satan, inevitably, there is a bad result if we walk Satan’s path. To be successful, always doing the right thing is a requirement and nothing less will do. Sitting in a worship service on Sunday morning doesn’t count if you don’t spend the rest of the week living the Lord’s way. In your life, there is the Lord’s way of living or Satan’s way. Satan wants you to make his way of living, your way. The Lord’s way leads to life. Satan’s way leads to death. God gives you the ability to choose.
