About taking a stand for good and against evil…
Hebrews 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with
the oil of joy." (NIV)
Right living or righteousness always has a payoff. There is
always a dividend in always doing the right thing. There is always a benefit in
standing for good and coming against evil. In a world full of deceptions,
illusions, and lies, it is sometimes hard to tell what is good and what is evil.
But when we see what is evil, we must attack it with love and kindness. When we
see what is good, we must embrace the good and carry the good of God with us
every hour. We are the human warriors in the spiritual war between good and
evil. As the battle lines are drawn in every age between what is good and what
is evil, the small and humble folk of the world are the ones who carry the small
candles of good. It is the small humble folk of the world who are the ones who
keep the power of God alive in the hearts of nations. It is the small humble
folk who are willing to give their hearts and lives to defeat evil and keep evil
from winning completely. When you repent and turn toward Christ, His commission
and His mission for you is to be humble and give to others what He has given you…His
love and saving mercy. Today, pray a little more, give a little more, comfort a
little more, and encourage others a little more.
