About telling the truth about hate Proverbs 12:13 A evil man is trapped by his sinful talk, but a righteous man escapes trouble. (NIV) Hate is the absence of God expressed in human thought and behavior. Hate murders the self while taking others with it. A human being turned inward and never given the chance to turn outward will hate because what is inside of a human being turned inward is depressing, revolting, and full of sin. Hate can be passed down from one generation to the next or inspired in a human being who always gets whatever the person wants whenever the person wants it. Spoiled brats learn to hate early in life. We all need to learn very quickly we cannot have whatever we want whenever we want it. If we are older, we need to learn to be happy with nothing except the presence of Jesus in our heart and life. How we live with the truth of not always having what we want determines how happy or hateful we will be. When we learn to do without what we think we want and need and we are still able to love others, we have defeated hatred in our lives. In heaven there is no hatred, for in heaven there is only love and selfless devotion. On earth there is hatred, for on earth there is not enough love and there is too much selfishness. Hate evaporates when love comes in but love cannot come in unless the person with the hate is willing to open their heart to Christ. When we love others, we help them deal with their hatred. Christ can turn hate into love in an instant for He can erase the terrible blight of sin upon our heart and melt down our need to fill our selfish heart. |
