About the divide…

Matthew 1:20 …an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream…(NIV)
For many people there is a great divide between God and their heart and life. When God brought Jesus into the world as a human baby the great divide between human beings and God no longer existed. When Jesus returned to Heaven after His earthly life and ministry changed into a heavenly life and heavenly ministry, for many people the great divide opened up again. The spiritual truth is there need not be any divide, either great or small, between us and God. Sometimes, but not always, God sends an angel to deliver a message to us because of the great divide. What makes the great divide between us and God go away is our willingness to open our heart to God’s love and touch. The Christmas season is a time of great giving, warm wishes, and open hearts for many people. For others, the Christmas season is the worst time of the year because of issues of loneliness and estrangement. No matter what the Christmas season is like for you, Jesus is always with you, always caring about you, and always present in your heart and life. For just as He was present and real in His manger in Bethlehem, so He is also present and real within you if you will open your heart to His love and grace.
