About the fall and us…

Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (KJV)

We are like Adam and Eve. We want wisdom. We want more. We want to know sin. Even when we know we must not go into sinful and forbidden things, we go anyway. We want what is forbidden. Sin is always attractive to us. Sin would not be tempting to us if sin was not attractive to us. Sin always appears like sin will feed us yet in sin we starve. Sin always looks like we can get a benefit from sin yet in sin there is a deadly cost. Sin is appealing. Sin is appealing to the eyes yet sin blinds us. Sin appeals to us because sin makes us inquisitive yet sin kills our intellect. Sin is deceptive because what we see on the outside of sin is not what sin is on the inside. Sin can look like beauty and life and on the outside but on the inside sin is ugliness and death. Without a holy and righteous unction from God, we will bite into sin and we will eat of the fruit of sin. Sin can come to us from others because others will invite us to sin. We will find sin attractive when sin is held out by others, then we will bite into the fruit of sin and we will surely die. Yet we are not without hope. For in our sin we have someone, we have God Himself in the form of His only Son who wants to rescue us from our sin.  Prayer Page For Thursday [Go]  Affirmation Page For Thursday [Go]
