Previous Daily Devotional About the focus of your faith… John 6:26 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. (NIV) There is, in your daily life, the bread of earth and the bread of life. Jesus is the bread of life. Unfortunately, many people search for Jesus in order to find earthly things, to fill human desires, and even to gain earthly rewards. Selfish greed is not godly. Selfish greed done in the name of God is still not godly. Many people come to the Cross or come to Jesus to get something. Think about this thought for just a minute. Would you actually go to Jesus, suffering and dying on the Cross, to get something from Him? In your faith, in your everyday walk of faith, you should never be centered upon yourself. You should never be centered upon what you need or upon what you want. The focus of your faith should first be upon Christ, then upon others. When the focus of your faith is upon Christ, then you will seek only His bread and not the bread of earth.
