About thinking your life is not worth living… Matthew 25:21 "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! (NIV) Everyone has challenges in life. All of us have moments when we are attacked on various levels and we wonder if life is worth the struggle, the heartache, the grief, and the pain. Each of us must find an answer to whether life is worth living. It is not enough for you to let someone tell you how your life is worth living. You must find an answer on your own. To answer the question about whether your life is worth living, look to Christ dieing on the cross for you. Look at the agony of His sacrifice for you. If Christ was willing to die such a tortuous death for you, then what is there about your life causing Him to think your life is so precious? Part of the answer is this: life is worth living when we understand we are on a train to the infinite. On this train there are stops made and at each stop we have a chance to do the work God wants us to do. Not every stop along the way is where we want to be. Perhaps none of the stops are where we want to be. However, at the end of the line, when we get off the train one final time, He is waiting to tell us how great a job we did and how He is filled with joy over the life we have lived. This final stop in heaven is why our life is worth living.
