What a ridiculous idea! Thriving in torment? Thriving in agony? Thriving in the worst times of your life? However, thriving in agony and torment is the whole idea of victory in Christ. Thriving in agony and torment, thriving when thriving is the most impossible thing to do, thriving when your chances are slim to none you will even survive is the very essence of your victory in life. Of course, you may survive but you cannot thrive without God. To thrive in agony and torment you need to have God alive and living within you. Because to have God alive within you means for every hurt there is His comfort…a comfort infinitely greater than your hurt. You can thrive in agony and torment because the agony put upon you by your selfishness is let go by His touch that changes your selfishness to unselfishness. You can thrive in the agony and torment of living for revenge because your need to get even is let go by His touch to help you be forgiving. You can thrive in the agony and torment of always living for yourself because your agony and torment comes to an end when you learn the fullness of life comes to you when you live for Him. You can thrive in the agony and torment of your inner pain because your inner pain comes to an end when you let yourself be immersed in His healing love and grace.
