About times of worry, doubt, and frustration…
Luke 1:76 And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go
on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, 77 to give his people the knowledge of
salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, 78 because of the tender mercy of our
God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven 79 to shine on those living in
darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace." (NIV)
In these times, our soul is often full of worry, doubt, and frustration. Your soul is
the province of God. When there is upset, Christ's healing hands and healing power are
ready to be placed upon you and He is ready to smooth over this upset. In your heart, you
know you can trust Him. In Christ, you know that no matter how difficult this time may be,
that you can find rest in Him. Christ is above all. Christ gives you a peace and love that
passes all understanding. Although His ways are mysterious, they are also very real. In
the troubles and trials of this very hour, Christ is standing beside you giving you words
of encouragement and love everlasting. At the foot of His Cross, your troubles melt away
in your redeeming sorrow. At the foot of His Cross, His cleansing blood takes away your
sin and takes away all thoughts of yourself. In this time of upset, you can find a new
heart and a new soul because of Him.
