Previous Daily Devotional About the times when tiredness comes Psalm 27:7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me. 8 My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek. 9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior. 10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. (NIV) Daily chores, responsibilities, and the exhaustion of combating the daily grind can exhaust us. When we are exhausted we find we cannot pray, we cannot seem to contact God, and we cannot sense His presence within us. When these times come, we must remember that God is always waiting for our invitation to come into our life. In times of exhaustion we can go to the Lord and express our need. God understands there are times when we cannot think or cannot express our spiritual nature. God understands our tiredness. God knows that we sometimes fall down both from the influence of sin and from the shear pressure of life. In these times of tiredness and exhaustion, it is so important that we remember to just take the Lord's hand. In these times, it is important to rest in the Lord's presence, even if we are too tired to speak or pray to Him. We must remember the Lord loves us no matter how exhausted we might be. We must remember the Lord is with us whether we can sense His presence or not. |
