About the touch of God upon your health…

Mark 9:44 It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. (NIV)

It is easy to tell you God will restore you to health when you are sick. None of us wants to be sick, ill, or infirm. We all want vitality, pep, energy, and a body that truly feels young. No matter how easy it is to tell you that God will restore your health, the truth is, the ultimate truth at the end of all things is, that your body will not last forever. The ultimate truth is that eventually, if you live long enough, your body will wear out and stop working. However, there is another ultimate truth. There is an ultimate truth that sends our spiritual heart soaring even when our physical body does not work as it should. It is proven that to maximize our physical health that our spiritual health must be maximized first. A spiritual sickness will make the physical body sick. A spiritual sickness can destroy the physical body. The spiritual sickness of sin can doom us physically in this life and doom us into eternal hell in our next life. To restore our physical health, our best choice and our first prayer request to Christ must not be a better physical body but a better spiritual heart, mind, and a repentant soul. For when we seek Christ's healing touch upon our heart, mind, and repentant soul, our priorities in life change. Even when our body aches and hurts, when we place our heart, mind, and repentant soul are in the hand of God, we can see forever and our present physical body can be blessed by the touch of the Great Physician.
