Previous Daily Devotional About a treasure of faith Psalm 117:2 For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord. (NIV) A carpenter needs tools. A baker needs an oven. A farmer needs fields. A teacher needs a class. A Christian needs faith. What a treasure faith is. Faith is a treasure because faith gives us an eye to see the invisible and an ear to hear the inaudible. Faith gives us a way to see past the dark present into a bright and shining future. Faith is a belief in what others may find unbelievable. Faith is an investment in an invisible and inaudible God who may produce results you may not see, hear, or understand. What a treasure faith is. Faith is the mortar that holds the concrete blocks of our life together. Faith is the little lynch pin that keeps the great wheel of our heart turning and exerting a force upon our will to always do God's will. Faith is the little wisp of wind that reminds us there is a God who makes the wind of the earth, the waves of the sea, and the love that fills our heart. Faith is the little pinch of yeast that makes the dough rise. Faith is the moving of our spirit into a greater communion with our God when all the forces of life try to push us down and push us away from His tender touch upon our life. |
