About trusting God to love us…

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. (NIV)

All the perfect things and perfect stuff we want God to do for us is of little consequence when compared to His sending Jesus to us. When we accept God sent Jesus to us, we can invest or trust God to be with us in love every second. We may get sick but we can trust God to help us by loving us. We may not even get well from our sickness, but we can trust God to love us no matter how sick we get. We may get sick and never get well or never get better but we can trust God to be there for us in every second of our distress. In our relationship with God, to expect God to fix us or to fix our circumstances is too often trusting God to do what God does not will for us. God's main job in your life is to give you what you need the most…His love. If we truly trust God and love God back for loving us, it will not make any difference if He does not make us well if we get sick. If we truly trust God and love God back for loving us, it will not make any difference what happens or does not happen in our life, because having God love us and being able to open our heart up to His love, is our main event. After we have opened our life up to God and His love, all the other events of our life seem to fall into a place of not being as important as they might be to others. This is why trusting God to love us is the most important part of our relationship with Him.
