About turning us to righteousness…

Romans 8:5 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (NIV) 

It is the will of God we turn our weapons of war into plowshares.

It is the will of God we avoid economic upheaval.

It is the will of God we never fall into the abyss of sin and depravation.

It is the will of God we care more and more about each other.

It is the will of God we live our lives so we stay together in peace and harmony rather than unraveling each hour.

It is the will of God His love would be poured out over the world as we do all we can do to open every heart to His power and presence.

It is the will of God angry hearts full of hatred be turned into hearts full of love.

It is the will of God hearts full of the need for revenge be turned into hearts full of a need to forgive.

It is the will of God hearts full of the desire to sin be turned into the desire to be righteous.

It is the will of God the blind eyes of the sinner be turned into eyes seeing Christ dying upon the Cross.

It is the will of God the fear and anxiety about what is to come in the future be turned into great expectations about what our future holds.

It is the will of God the greed, avarice, and lust of the world be turned into a spirit of giving, selflessness, and compassion.
