About victory over circumstances Psalm 18:35 You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. (NIV) There are circumstances in our lives that bring us intense suffering. However, if we are determined to win out over these circumstances, we can do so if we give thanks. How can this be? How can those who live in circumstances that are sometimes terrible, give thanks? We can all give thanks for the gift of life itself. No matter how difficult our present life might be, we can give thanks for the opportunity to live, breath, and work for Christ in serving others. For the greater our trials, the greater the opportunity we have to achieve His victory. When we cannot see past the devastation of the present moment, we can rest in Christ's assurance that all things will work out if we fit our life into His plans. If we think we have no power, we believe a lie. For we have power over every circumstance if we are willing to give to others in humility. Our present difficulties can be overcome as we have the faith that brings Christ into our heart and life. We become strong in our weakness only as we admit our weakness. When we admit our weakness we are then in His truth and He will supply us with what we need. When it seems all options are gone, we must recall that God is supernatural and with God, all options are open to us. With God, there is for us a special vision available to see past present obstacles. There is for us, regardless of the present moment's hardship, a next moment full of His joy, peace, and encouragement. |
