the voice of God… Psalm 29:3 The voice of
the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over
the mighty waters. (NIV) There is a minister who was called to ministry. In this minister’s case, the call was not a call but an order. The voice of God was a command to go forward with no doubts, no qualms, no conditions, and no expectations about receiving a reward. In this particular case, the voice of God was an audible voice lasting only long enough for the Lord to say the words, "Feed my sheep." The minister only heard "The Voice" one time but the minister has tried, in spite of many hardships and adversities, to follow His order. Around and within the time it took for the Lord to hear or say “Feed my sheep,” every electron, every quark, every neutrino, every bit of substance in the known universe went quiet, silent, and motionless. There was no noise, no distraction, and no background interference of any kind. Everything in the universe absolutely and totally froze in time and space during the speaking of those words. God speaks to every person and speaks to us a way they can understand and accept. God never spoke to this minister before or since in an audible voice. However, God tenderly and gently speaks to him and to all of us every second we are alive. We can all hear God. We can all hear God as we build our faith daily, minute by minute, and hour by hour.
