Previous Daily Devotional Written By God About being healed at that very hour… Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour. † When Jesus came into Peter 's house, he saw Peter 's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. † He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him. † When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. † This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases." † On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. † But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice. ' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. † Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, "You are the Son of God!" But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ. …I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. † I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. † And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. † Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb † down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. † No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.
