About being in God's hands…

Redeem Israel, O God, from all their troubles! † Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. † Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; † Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. † The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. † The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. † Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O Lord, the God of truth. † I hate those who cling to worthless idols; I trust in the Lord. † I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. † For I hear the slander of many; there is terror on every side; they conspire against me and plot to take my life. † But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." † My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me. † Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. † Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart! †
