About being redeemed by the blood of the Lamb…

Praise the Lord. I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. † Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them. † Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever. † He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate. † He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. † Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." † He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. † For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, † but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. † He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. † Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. † Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. † For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. †
