About the wages of sin and the gift of God…

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (NIV)

The truth sometimes hurts. The truth is this…sin causes death. Sin causes death in our heart and soul. However, there is more to the truth than the darkness. The rest of the truth is this…the light and love of God can wrap around us for eternity if we accept Christ. This eternal love and eternal light comes to us as a gift of God from God's Son who died on the cross to place us in His eternal light and eternal love. The gift of God is given to us freely through the sacrifice Christ made for us. Christ paid the price so you could live forever in paradise, even when you do not deserve to live forever in paradise. Christ paved the way. Christ did what no human being could do on his or her own. Christ opened the door for your eternity. We must not be blind to the truth about sin and eternal life. We must see reality. In the reality of our sin, we can see not just the hopelessness of our earthly life, but we can also see the beauty, the peace, and the freedom of the glorious truth...the truth being we are able to life forever as we shed our earthly body to sail home to be with Christ Jesus forever.
