Previous Daily Devotional For Christmas About wanting to worship… Matthew 2:1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him." In the modern commercialization of Christmas, worship of Christ is often overlooked or ignored. When we give gifts to each other, we should be giving gifts as a form of worship, in reverence, and in love for Christ. Each gesture of our giving and celebration this Christmas should be done as a form of worship. Shopping, Christmas cards sent out, preparations, and decorations should all be forms of worship and love for our Lord Jesus. Every Christmas and every day of the year we should each be willing to love Him without any restraint…love Him so much we are willing to do everything to glorify Him, willing to do all things in His honor, and willing to live every second in His very presence. Worship, both private and public, is the foundation of our faith. In all the many forms and styles worship now includes, no form or style of worship is more important than your giving His love to others this Christmas. |
