Previous Daily Devotional About what God must have thought… 1 John 4:9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. Imagine what God must have thought before sending Christ into the world! What pain God must have felt in His heart, knowing what was to happen to His Son! Could any of us do what God did? God sent Christ to us so we might be saved and find eternal life. God is always for us and not against us. God sent Christ to us so we would have a way to live in Heaven for eternity. However, would you want the murderer of your only child to live with you, in your house, eating at your table, walking with you wherever you walked, for eternity? The truth in the answer to these questions should make us cringe in guilt over what we have done. The truth embedded in these questions should destroy the sinful person we are. The truth is, God forgives us. God loves us so much He is willing to wash away our sinfulness so we may stand before Him without guilt, shame, or blemish. The truth is, God loves us and wants us to change. God wants us to walk with Him in all His ways. God knows you. God knows you are so redeemable you are capable of living with Him forever. |
