About what God will do

"The Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous." Psalm 146:8

When you read this verse from the book of Psalms there may be lingering questions in your mind. The questions in your mind may be, "If God really does give sight to the blind, then why are there blind people? If God really does lift up those who are bowed down, then why are there so many people doubled over in pain? If God really does love the righteous then why do righteous people have to pay big dues for always doing the right thing in life?" These questions are real questions. Just about everyone wonders why things are like they are. Just about everyone wants all the wrongs to be made right. Just about everyone would like to see suffering end. When we read this verse, we must remember this verse is about both this world and the world to come. This verse is about both this world and the heavenly world we will inhabit when we cross over into Heaven where we will be with Christ, with God and the angels. Sometimes in this world the blind do not receive their sight, but they will see all things beautiful in Heaven. In this world, sometimes those who are burdened down by life die with those burdens still on their back. However, in Heaven there is joy, and glory, and love to replace every burden we carry here on earth. In this world, people make extreme sacrifices to do the right thing, and they go the extra mile to always live the right kind of life. In this world, many people make right decisions, the kind of decisions that carry a heavy cost. In Heaven, for every sacrifice, every extra mile traveled, and every extreme cost paid out on Earth, there is an infinite reward in God’s Heaven.
