Previous Daily Devotional About when God's love does not bring a miracle… Matthew 9:28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" "Yes, Lord," they replied. 29 Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you"; 30 and their sight was restored. (NIV) We all want a miracle. We all want God to do or bring a miracle of some kind. We all want God's love to flow down over us and make a miracle happen. However, sometimes God's love does not bring our miracle. God's love does not always change all we want changed. God's love does not always change our world or our circumstance in miraculous ways like we want. What are we to do and to think when God's love does not bring our miracle? When God's love does not bring our miracle, we are still supposed to love. When God's love does not bring our miracle, we are still supposed to love God and to love others. When God's love does not bring our miracle, we must remember His love brings His miracle. For in the depths of our need, His love comes into our life and soothes us and comforts us beyond our ability to understand. When His love does not bring our miracle, we are still supposed to love, hope, and trust. When God's love does not bring our miracle, we are still supposed to try and bring a miracle to others, for our life should never ever be about us…our life should always, always, always be about Him and about His little ones who we are to love in His name. |
