About when God's love does not take away the pain…

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (NIV)

God's love is supposed to ease the pain. God's love is supposed to make the pain go away. We all believe His love does indeed take away the pain. However, there are times and circumstances when no matter how much of His love we experience, the pain remains with us. So what are we to do in the times when God's love does not take away the pain? During the times when we hurt and God's love does not seem to ease the hurt, we must remember to have faith. We must remember we are to be witnesses to the love of God no matter how much we hurt. When we are in pain and God's love does not seem to make any difference, we are to pray in our pain. We are to pray in our pain because God understands us and God acts when we rise up against the darkness of pain. God may not take away our pain for reasons we do not understand. No matter how much we believe God will take away our pain, no matter how much be affirm God will take away our pain, no matter how much we join with others in agreeing God will take away our pain…sometimes the pain remains. During these times, the times when pain does not go away, we are to be tough. We are to be tough for God during our times of pain by being forgiving, by loving others, by being totally unselfish in all things, and by being totally committed to walking the Lord's path no matter what happens in our life. For when we are forgiving, loving, unselfish, and committed, there shall be a time when pain will be no more. There shall be a time when pain is replaced by glory, grace, and a soaring heart into eternal peace and love.
