About when the truth brings freedom…
John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you
free." (NIV)
We sometimes immerse our life in lies and deceptions. We sometimes run away
from the truth. In running away from the truth, we sometimes run away from the
very source of our freedom. The more lies and deceptions we pile upon our heads,
the more we confine ourselves and the farther away from true freedom we move. In
order to justify our life, we can often continue to lie and deceive, until even
we have no idea what the truth might be. Relishing in the truth releases us from
Satan's evil grip of lies and deceptions. Even when the truth hurts us or even
when the truth appalls us, we can still be released from the deadly grip of lies
and deceptions. When the truth brings freedom, we can see clearly what is around
us. When the truth brings freedom, we no longer have blinders over our eyes.
When the truth brings freedom, we can actually see our future, see our potential
for the future, and most importantly see the lives of others who need us, who
want us, who we can love, and who can love us back. |
