where you should go… Revelation 3:21 To him who overcomes, I
will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down
with my Father on his throne. (NIV) Sometimes you want to be any place than where you are. However, where you are need not detract from where you should go in your life. You should always want to go to a place in your world and in your life where you can glorify God. Perhaps you are in a circumstance where it seems few people seem to think about God. Perhaps you are in a circumstance where your own pain or the pain of others drives out any idea of God. If you are in this kind of place, then you must remember you are not frozen in place. You are not frozen in place because God has given you a path to walk and the ability to walk or move forward in your life. When you want to be someplace else, remember your path in life can always lead to God’s stairway to Heaven. Even if you are in a palace with servants at your beck and call, you can still aspire to go upward when your world caves in around you. Even if you are caught in the worst place on earth, you can still turn your eyes upward and see God. Even if you are caught in the worst place on earth, you can look up and see Christ with His arms wide open waiting just for you. Where you are in your life does not count as much as where you are going. Where you should go in your life should define where you are and who you are in the present. If you know you are going to a place where you will see Jesus, then joy abounds even in the most difficult circumstances. If you know you are going to a place where you will see Jesus, then your heart is lifted up no matter where you are in the here and now.
